My horizontal cap pipe has turned black is this normal ?
I have a pelpro 120 home heater with vertical pipe venting.Just the horizontal cap has turned black.That is the exit for the smoke.Inlet damper rod is at correct adjustment.Trim pots are correct also.Interor of stove seems to be clean.Though i have not yet checked the bottom tee venting pipe for accumilation of ash.No information as for now from dansons website or email.

dude, just clean it. probably a metal scratchy pad and some Dawn would work well. do it when it's cool though. it's just like exhaust build up around the muffler of a car.
