Does anybody know if scientists have or can recreate global warming in the laboratory?

I was thinking a miniature life supporting biosphere replica of the earth could be set up mimicking the solar, seasonal and gas emissions patterns the earth is subjected to but on a smaller scale. Then they could recreate the current and projected patterns on a size / percentage scale and see what happens in to the biosphere. Have scientists done anything like this?
