What is your current or past experience with the Lupron Depot shot?
I am on the 6 month (2 shot) treatment for endometriosis. I am suffering unimaginably from the side effects and endo pain. If anyone could share their current experience or past experience, it might help. My current doctor does not think add back therapy is appropriate and suggests that it will counteract with the Lupron treatment and its effectiveness. Any feedback is appreciated on this sensitive subject.
I am a man - have been on it for four years. It knocks out release of the pituitary hormones that stimulate the ovary, inducing a menopause. the side effects will be essentially those of menopause. If you are going to be it for awhile take lost of Calcium and vitamin D.
Short term, it is pretty harmless, but expensive.
