How Many Turbines are Required to Produce an Average Daily Electrical Power?
I know this problem is probably just a simple unit conversion problem, but I'm still getting confused. The problem is as follows:
Determine the number of turbines required on a wind farm to produce an average daily (24 hours) electrical power of 40MW if one turbine produces 700kW of power.
If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
This isn't for home or work. This is a homework problem I was assigned, which is why I posted under homework help.
1 MW = 1000 kW
so 40MW = 40000 kW
40000 / 700 = 57.14
